connection backtrack 5 with OS on virtualbox

How to connect linux with existing OS in virtualbox
- The first step is to activate the virtualbox
before running the OS on virtualbox settings beforehand virtualboxnya with - choose tools files located on the top right corner virtualbox
- Then select preferences
- And then select the network
- Add host-only network
- Edit host-only network
- Write down the IP addresnya. Suppose 192.168.5.23
- Subnet mask will be filled automatically.
- Then OK
     then select the setting in virtualbox
- Select wetwork
- Select the Host-Only adapter attached to
- Click Ok
- Then we check the console terminal with the ifconfig command. After we check and have emerged vboxnet0 and IP appear above means setting succeeded
SO then we run the virtualboxnya
- After already running, we select control pannel (SO here I am using windows xp on virtualbox is)
- Select a network connection
- Will display a menu of Local Area Connection, double click
- Select propertice
- The general menu select Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)
- Select propertice
- Select Use the following IP address automatically
- Then setting the IP addresnya. Here I make addresnya IP 192.168.5.24 and the subnet mask will automatically be filled automatically. Default getway I fill 192.168.56.1
- Press OK. then close

check back for our IP setting before through cmd with the command ipconfig
after checking and managed through cmd in windows xp we check back on a console terminal to ping its ip windows xp.

if ip ping appear in the konksi succeed.
